Paris - Corb, EuroDisney, Panthéon

Tuesday was Le Corbusier day. We visited Maison La Roche and Villa Savoye. Both were pretty great although Maison La Roche was more impressive inside than out. The rest of that day we walked through Paris and to some the covered market streets. I saw a store that looked like some one had opened the top and filled it to the brim with all manner of pipes.

Wednesday was Euro Disney. Yes it was awesome. There are two parks- Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios Park. A lot of familiar rides are there im the parks with a few that dont exist in the US. One of which being Crush's coaster. Its nemo themed and you ride in a turtle shell through a roller coaster similair to space mountain only, the shell spins. It was pretty amazing. Space mountain... mission 2. Completely different. Its Jules Vern themed and you are shot out of a huge cannnon. And there are loops. Still awesome. I did not biy any disney items because unfortunately I did not find anything worth my money.

Today we went to see Bibliotheque Ste. Genevieve by Labrouste. That was a pretty incredible space. Right across the street is a church originally dedicated to Ste. Genevieve but is known to the French as the Panthéon. Not to be confused with the pantheon in Rome. Absolutely massive scale.

After the Panthéon we went to Maison de Verre. It was quite impressive and glass block was certainly a new choice for the 1930s. Couldnt photograph the interior but one intersting thing is the big lights in the exterior that are turned on at night so that the glass is not see through from the exterior.

First big group dinner tonight. Hopefully that's delicious.  I should really work on my studio project soon. Or I could watch Chirs and Nick do theirs
